Clinical thermo meter:  This thermometer is used in Clinics to measure the temperature of human body.
 A clinical thermometer has a temperature range of only 35ºC to 42°C.

Laboratory thermometer:  is used to measure the temperature of all things, except the human body. It is a complex device. A laboratory thermometer has a temperature range of-10 degrees Celsius to 110 degrees Celsius.

SIMILARITIES

  1. Both thermometers consist of long narrow uniform glass tubes .
  2. Both have a bulb in one end.
  3. Both contain mercury in bulb .
  4. Both has celcius scale..

DIFFERENCES

  1. Clinical thermometer reads temperature 35°C to 45°C while the range of laboratory thermometer is -10°C to 110°C..
  2. Clinical thermometer has link near the bulb while laboratory thermometer doesn't have a kink.
  3. We can only measure our body temperature using clinical thermometer while laboratory thermometer doesn't have a kink..
