Legislative Assembly is also known as Vidhan Sabha or lower house.This assembly cannot exceed more than 500 and less than 40 members each.
Legislative Council also known as Vidhan Parishad or upper house.This assembly cannot have less than 40 members or more than one- third of the membership of vidhan sabha.
