write the difference between nationalism and extreme nationalism
Answers
Answer:
Nationalism, if guided and used properly, will be very helpful in bringing different segments of a nation together and uniting them on important issues which influence or affect the stability and economic health of the country.
On the other hand, extreme nationalism can bring about hatred, irrational xenophobia, racial prejudice, religious intolerance, bitter feelings towards the wealthy, social divisions between rich and poor, terrorism-driven indiscriminate violence, etc. Across many continents, we have already seen plenty of news which are related to human rights and civil rights violations. Many of them are induced or inspired by irrational far-right nationalism.
So when a person is overjoyed about his country’s performance in an international event or a sports match, I’ll be very skeptical about his inner views of the opponent nation’s team who challenges his national team.
