followings are the major difference between normal lens and eye lens:

  • A camera sees in 2 dimensions while the eye sees in 3 dimensions.
  • This means that when we see with our eyes we see height, width and depth but With a camera we only see height and width.
  • As distance between eye lens & retina is fixed, image distance is always fixed. But focal length of eye lens changes according to object distance.
  • On the contrary, focal length of camera lens is fixed but image distance changes according to object distance.
  • Eye lens is made up of semi liquid substance.
  • But, Normal lens are made of glasses.
  • focal length of normal lens is fixed but not of eye lens.
