Primary sex organ is an organ that is directly involved in the process of reproduction. The testes in males and the ovaries in females are example of primary sex organs. The other organs that are indirectly involved in reproduction are called secondary sex organs. For example, uterus, vas deferens etc.

the difference between primary sex organ and secondary sex organ is that the primary sex organ produce sex harmones which helps in maturation of sexual behaviours I.e androgen is produce by testis in male and progesterone and estrogen is produce by ovary in female
secondary organs are not responsible in sex harmone secretion but they help in transport of gametes..
