Speed :- Speed of a body is the distance travelled by it per unit time. It is a scalar quantity. Its S.I. unit is metre per second (m/s). Formula :- Distance / time taken

Velocity :- Velocity of a body is the displacement produced per unit time. It is a vector quantity. Its S.I. unit is metre per second (m/s). Formula :- Displacement / time taken

I hope it help you....

speed is scalar quantity whereas velocity is a vector which means that velocity will have both direction and magnitude but speed can only have magnitude
2. velocity can be negative but speed can't
