I thought you will never ask,

Anyways

The differences are:

(i) Stars are a balls of stable nuclear fusion process for a fixed amount of time but Planets are the heavenly bodies with a small very hot permanent stable core surrounded by a very thick outer surface.

(ii) The Stars trend to maintain Hydrostatic equillibrium and the planets trend to maintain gravitational equillibrium.

(iii) The stars are independent of a planet's existance but a planet is dependent on it's star's existance.

(iv) Star's size may increase(suddenly ) or decrease in radius due to lack of fuel but in a planet remains fixed in size as long as external conditions are good (asteroid showers etc.).

(v) A stars death may led to formation of White dwarfs, supernovae or a black hole depneding on mas but a planet's death does not gives result to such fascinating phenomenon.
