A tendon is a fibrous connective tissue which attaches muscle to bone. Tendons may also attach muscles to structures such as the eyeball. A tendon serves to move the bone or structure.
A ligament is a fibrous connective tissue which attaches bone to bone, and usually serves to hold structures together and keep them stable.

THE DIFFERENCES ,BETWEEN

TENDON AND LIGAMENT ARE AS FOLLOWS :

✴ TENDON IS ELASTIC , BUT LIGAMENT IS INELASTIC.

✴ TENDON CONNECTS SKELETAL MUSCLES TO BONES , WHERE AS , LIGAMENTS CONNECT BONES TO BONES .

✴ TENDON IS A WHITE FIBROUS TISSUE WHICH HAS GREAT STRENGTH BUT LIMITED FLEXIBILITY AND MUCH MATRIX, WHERE AS LIGAMENT HAS GREAT STRENGTH BUT IT CONTAINS VERY LITTLE MATRIX.

✴ TENDONS ARE MADE UP OF WHITE FIBRES , WHERE AS , LIGAMENTS SRE MADE UP OF BOTH WHITE AND YELLOW FIBRES.
