- Normally bright red in colour
- Elastic walls that expanded with surge of blood
- No valves
- Can feel a pulse
Veins
- Carry blood from the heart carry deoxygenated blood except pulmonary veins
- Dark red in colour
- Thin walls and less elastics
- Valves
- No pulse
