Answer:-
Differences between "bitmap images" and "vector images" :-
"Bitmap" images :-
Bitmap image consists of pixels or dots on the screen to make an image . This is called picture element on screen because it is used to create an image . If there are more pixels on the screen , the quality of the image will be good and quality of image depends on number of pixels on the screen. A bitmap image needs a lot of storage area. A dot is represented as 8 bits in form of memory. So , the size of the bitmap file will be very large if the images are made with more colours and more graphics. If we zoom the screen , we can observe tiny pixels which form an image.
"Vector" images :-
Vector images are formed by the set of straight or curved lines when joined together on the screen . This image needs less storage and the image needs same space either it is small or big and this is why vector images are helpful and recommended. It doesn't become blur even if we zoom. One of the disadvantage is it is displayed slowly on the screen and needs software to do any calculations.
