Answer:

in open circulatory system the blood does not flow in any blood vessels but the organs are simply bathed into the blood.

But in a closed circulatory system the blood flows in blood vessels and reaches to organs by them only.

Some points about open circulatory system are as follows-

  • Speed of the blood in this is less.
  • Blood pressure is also less in the open circulatory system.
  • In it each and every tissue is in the direct contact of the circulatory fluid.
  • Through large vessels blood is passes which is pumped by the heart which is known as sinuses.
  • It is very less efficient.
  • Examples- Arthropoda, Mollusca (except Cephalopoda) etc.

Some points about closed circulatory system are as follows-

  • Speed of the blood more in this.
  • Blood pressure is more compared to open circulatory system.
  • Through a closed network of the blood vessels blood is pumped and circulated by the heart.
  • It is more efficient.
  • Each and every tissue is not in the direct contact with the blood.
  • Examples- Annelida, All chordates, Cephalopoda etc.
