Potential resources are those which have been found in a region, but not utilized. The technology for its access is available, but not put into use. Eg: Solar and wind energy development in Gujarat and Rajasthan. Stock resources are those that have the potential to satisfy human needs.

(ii) Potential resources:

(a) They are found in a region.

(b) They have not been utilized or developed.

(c) Example: Rajasthan and Gujarat have enormous potential for the development of wind and solar energy, but they are yet to be developed for various reasons.
