Explanation:

(1) Thermo plastic polymer :

(a) These becomes soft on heating and hard on

cooling.

(b) it is reversible.

(c) it can be moulded, remoulded, reshaped.

(d) Almost all linear and slightly branched

polymers are Thermo plastic polymers.

(e) Examples are nylon, sealing wax

polythene, polyvinylchloride etc..

(2) Thermo setting polymers :

(a) These becomes hard solid infusible mass on

heating.

(b) it is irreversible.

(c) these cannot be moulded remoulded

reshaped.

(d) Almost all cross linked polymers are

thermosetting polymers.

(e) Examples are Bakelite, urea formaldehyde

resin, melamine formaldehyde resin ,

polysiloxianes etc....

Hey friend,

Here is the answer you are searching for,

Thermoplastic : Plastics switch sofen on heating and can be remoulded. For eg:PVC,Nylon.

Thermosetting plastics : Plastics which do not soften on heating and cannot be remoulded. For eg:Bakelite,Melamine

HOPE IT HELPS YOU.
