1. Solids
2. Liquids
3. Gases
Solids-- their atoms are very compact and they do not lose their shape easily
Liquids--their atoms are less bounded as compared to solids...they take up the shape of the container they are poured in but do not change their volume
Gases-- they are neither definite in volume nor their shape

The three States of matter are solid, Liquid and Gas.
Solid - It Has Definite Mass, volumr and shape .it,s molecules are strongly packed, it has Highest density and can't Be conpressed .
Liquid - It has define volume but no fixed Mass or shape.It,s molecules are less closely packed as compared to solid. It,s density is less as compared to solid. and is compressible.
Gas -It neither Has definate Mass or volume nor shape .It,s molecules are far apart from each other. It has least density and is compressible
