Hi the differential form of continuity equation for steady 2D flow is
 \frac{du}{dx}   +  \frac{dv}{dy}  = 1
(Please understand that the derivatives are partial derivatives. I couldn't not find the appropriate symbol for it)
u and v are velocity components in x and y directions respectively.
