Given :  4 Circles at corner and 4 hexagon each between two circles

To Find : write the digits 0.1, 0.2 ,0.3,0.4,0.5,0.6,0.7 and 0.8 so that the number in the hexagon are equal to the two numbers in the circles added together either side​

Solution:

Digits in  circle   = a  , b  , c  ,  d

Digits in  Hexagon  =  a + b  , b + c , c + d   , a  + d

Total Sum  = a + b + c + d  + a + b + b + c + c + d + d + a

= 3 ( a + b + c + d)

Total Sum = 0.1 + 0.2 + 0.3 + 0.4 + 0.5 + 0.6 + 0.7 + 0.8

= 0.36

3 ( a + b + c + d) = 0.36

=> a + b + c  +  d  = 0.12

0.1 + 0.2 + 0.3 + 0.6    = 0.12

0.1      0.4          0.3

0.7                      0.5

0.6      0.8          0.2

Also  0.1 + 0.2  + 0.4  + 0.5 =  0.12

but there is no pair  to add  to 0.8
