first of all, Let see formula of thermal expansion.
from linear thermal expansion,
where is initial length of metal wire, L is the length of wire after changing in temperature of surrounding of wire.
∆T is change in temperature and is coefficient of thermal expansion.
so, dimension of =dimension of (L-/(dimension of × dimension of ∆T)
= [L]/([L] × [K])
= [K^-1]
hence , dimension of coefficient of thermal expansion is .
