Write the discriminant of the quadratic equation 6x²-x-2 = 0.​

Solution :-

 \sf{ ⟹ \: {6x}^{2} }  - x - 2 = 0

\sf{⟹ {6x}^{2}  - 4x + 3x - 2 = 0}

\sf{⟹2x(3x - 2) + ( 3x - 2)1 = 0}

\sf{⟹  (2x - 1)(3x - 2) = 0}

\sf{ 2x + 1 = 0  \: or \:  3x - 2 = 0} \:

\sf{ \: x =   \frac{ - 1}{2} }

\sf{x =  \frac{2}{3} }
