The difference between Acids and bases are :

Acids : Acids are sour in taste and acids turns the blue litmus paper red. An Acids is a proton donor.

There are many strong and weak acids.

Strong Acids are: Sulphuric acid, Hydrochloric Acid,Nitric Acid etc.

Weak Acids are : Carbonic acid,citric acid, Acetic acid etc.

Base: Bases are bitter in test and turns red litmus paper to blue. While a base is a proton acceptor.

There are many strong and weak bases.

Strong bases: Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Hydroxide, Calcium Hydroxide etc

Weak Bases: Ammonium Hydroxide,water, pyridine etc.
