a ) Carrot-The most commonly eaten part of the plant is the taproot, although the stems and leaves are eaten as well. The domestic carrot has been selectively bred for its greatly enlarged, more palatable, less woody-textured taproot.
b)Cauliflower- Typically, only the head is eaten – the edible white flesh sometimes called "curd" (with a similar appearance to cheese curd). The cauliflower head is composed of a white inflorescence meristem. Cauliflower heads resemble those in broccoli, which differs in having flower buds as the edible portion.
c)Guara- I deem Scarlet Guara edible. The rhizomes are edible too and are similar to parsnips, but I will need a larger colony to eat roots.
d)Potato-The edible portion is a rhizome (an underground stem) that is also a tuber. The "eyes" of the potato are lateral buds. Potatoes come in white, yellow, orange, or purple-colored varieties. The edible portion is the inner stalk (stem) whose sap is a source of sugar.
e) Spinach-The edible part in spinach is its compact rosette of leaves just before flower stalk formation and central bulb elongation. Spinach is a green leafy vegetable which stores majority of its food in its leaves and hence leaves are edible.
