If we dip the blue lotus in sweater drinks Then it will turn red due to their acidic nature.In sweater drinks CO2 is dissolved which react with water and forms weak Carbon acid(H2CO3).

since air contains hydrogen and carbon, oxygen , they combine with drinks and forms respective acid like carbonic acid and sulphuric acid , but most common is carbonic acid, and even ethanoic acid which are having high pH b value hence they result in change in the litmus paper change . In particularly carbonic acid has 4.68 pH value and lactic acid has pH value of 3.51
