Hola
Good morning
Due to Frenkel defect, the density of ionic solids does not change. This defect does not have any impact on the density of the solid as it involves only the migration of the ions within the crystal, thus preserving both the volume as well as mass. Due to schottky defect, the density of ionic solids decreases.

Tue correct question is:
Write the effect on density of a substance in the Frenkel defect?
The density remains unchanged in Frenkel defect.
- In the frenkel defect an ion takes a place at an interstitial position. Hence there is no increase or decrease in the number of ions, so the density of the substance also remains constant because the ion is just situated at some other position and hasn't left the substance i.e., it only gets displaced from its original position.
- Some examples of substances that show frenkel defect are AgBr, ZnS, etc.
