temperature effects the motion of the atoms or molecules in a liquid. As the temperature of a solid, liquid or gas increases, the particles move more rapidly. As the temperature falls, the particles slow down. If a liquid is cooled sufficiently, it forms a solid.

when the temperature of a state of matter is increased heat is absorbed by the substance in the energy. The kinetic energy of the molecules of the substance increase the molecules experience a lot of vibration and occupy more space as a result a solid substance expand and become liquid and turn to gas.
