Write the electron dot structure for sodium and chlorine atoms. How do these form a chemical bond? Name the bond so formed. Why does a compound so formed have high melting point? Pizza don't ignore answer quickly????????

Formation of the compound NaCl from it's ions





transfer of electrons between Na and Cl atoms, results in the formation of Na+ and Cl- ions.this oppositely charged ions get attracted towards Each Other due to electrostatic forces and form the compound sodium chloride ( NaCl ).


This is formed by ionic bond.
