Solution :

(1) \sf{}Fe ^{2+}

Here, atomic number of Fe is 9 and it is loosing two electrons therefore, atomic number becomes (9-2) = 7.

Electronic configuration: 1s² 2s² 2p³

(2) \sf{Cr}

Here, atomic number of Cr is 24.

Electronic configuration: 1s² 2s² 2p⁶ 3s² 3p⁶ 4s¹ 3d⁵

Rules :-

  • Paule's Exclusion Principle

It states that no two electrons could have same set of Quantum numbers.

It also states that only two electrons can accommodate in same orbital.

  • Aufbau's Principle

It states that in ground state of atom the filling of an electron in the orbital takes place in increasing order of their energy.

  • Bohr Bury rule

The orbitals with the lesser value for (n+l) is filled before with greater value of (n+l ).
