We know, a line parallel to x-axis has been absissa (x-coordinate) 0.
So, The point is 3 units above x-axis, that is , on the positive side of y-axis.
So it passes through a point with ordinate(y- coordinate) 3.
Now, equation of a line parallel to x axis is given by:-
y=k,
where k is the distance of line from x axis.
Here,
k=3
So, equation:-
y=3
y-3=0
