We know, a line parallel to x-axis has been absissa (x-coordinate) 0.

So, The point is 3 units above x-axis, that is , on the positive side of y-axis.

So it passes through a point with ordinate(y- coordinate) 3.

Now, equation of a line parallel to x axis is given by:-

y=k,

where k is the distance of line from x axis.

Here,

k=3

So, equation:-

y=3

y-3=0

So answer is:-

y - 3 = 0
