Solution:-

Use this identity

=> ( a + b )² = a² + b² + 2ab , we get

=> ( x + 2 )² = 2x + 5

=> x² + 4 + 4x = 2x + 5

=> x² + 2x - 1 = 0

This equation is in the form of ax² + bx + c

The value of a = 1 , b = 2 and c = - 1
