Legitimation refers to something which is legit or which goes with the rules and regulations. Legitimation is exercised by every sector in the world, let it be politics, social responsibility, working conditions etc.
Every situation requires activities which are legit and which goes with the rules of the state. For instance if there is a factory which is producing goods, that factory should be conforming to the laws of not spreading the waste and when they will be producing the products they will keep a track of all the waste and prevent it from disturbing the sea life because most of the factories dispose the waste in sea.
At work, there are certain laws which need to be followed which again come under the heading of legitimation, the things which are being done around should be in the best of interest of everyone and it should not harm anyone.
Every state has legitimate rules set which every society is supposed to follow. There are also different type of legitimacies for instance; pragmatic legitimacy which is realted to organizations, in which organizations are supposed to take relevant actions to make everything suitable for the society
Then there is moral legitimacy which is based on the morals and values it is passed to see if the actions of an organization based on moral values or not. Another type of legitimacy is cognitive legitimacy is the one which has more to do with the society and society accepts these organizations as necessary or inevitable.
