On 10th may 1994 Nelson Mandela assumed the chair of First President of South Africa. The events of the Inauguration are as follows.

• Long Walk To Freedom is an autobiography of Nelson Mandela.
• The ceremony was held in the Union Buildings amphitheater in Pretoria.
• During the speech, Mandela assured us that his fellowmen would never experience suppression again.
• Then he took oath as the President.
• He pledged that there won't be any more racial discrimination in the country.
• Two national Anthems were sung: 'Nkosi Sikelil- Africa' by the white vision and 'Die Stem' by the blacks.
• He told that a person becomes brave not because he is afraid but because he knows how to conquer his fears.
