Efficiency of a refrigerator is measured as the coefficient of performance . It can be measured as the amount of cooling provided(heat absorbed)/work done by the compressor. Basically efficiency is a measure of the desired output/ input resource. The desired output here is cooling. The input resource is the work done by the compressor.
