The expression of the force of attraction between two objects:

           The 'force of attraction' between two objects pulls or brings the two bodies together. Forces like magnetic, electric, "electrostatic, and gravitational forces" are the various forces of attraction. The general formula or expression of force of attraction is:

\mathrm{Fg}=\frac{\mathrm{Gm} 1 \mathrm{m} 2}{\mathrm{d}^{2}}

  • G – gravitational constant
  • m1 – mass of object 1
  • m2 – mass of object 2
  • d – distance between the two objects 1 and 2

The force of attraction is depended upon the

  • 'Distance between' the two objects – closer the objects, stronger is the force.
  • Mass of the two objects – if the 'mass' of any one body is increased or doubled then the force is also increased.
