i. For a cylinder there is 2 kinds of formulas the lateral and the total. the lateral surface area is just the sides the formula for that is 2(pi)radius(height). the formula for the total surface area is 2(pi)radius(height) + 2(pi)radius squared.

ii. The volume of a cone is 1 3 π r 2 h \frac { 1 } { 3 } \pi r ^{ 2 } h 31πr2h, where r denotes the radius of the base of the cone, and h denotes the height of the cone.

Total surface area of cylinder =2πr(r+h) sq. units.

The volume of a cone = (1/3) πr2h cubic units
