Anything that occupies space is matter.
as we classify the matter into solid, liquid and gaseous states, matter should be either one of these.
++to be considerd as a solid, the following properties are required:
1. they should have a fixed shape and a fixed volume.
2. They cannot be compressed much.
3. they should have high densities.
4. they do not fill their container completely.
5. solids do not flow.
++to be considerd as liquid, the following properties are required:
1.liquidsshould have a fixed volume but not a fixed shape.
2.liqids also cannot be compressed much.
3.liquids have moderate to high densities.
4. they do not fill their container comletely
5. they generally flow easily.
++to be considered as gases, the following properties are required:
1. they neither have a fixed shape no a vfixed volume.
2. they can be compressed easily.
3. they have very low densities.
3. gases fill their container completely.
5. they flow easily.
