Heya !!!

Here's the answer !!

✳️The pollination by wind is called Anemophily.

Features of a flower pollinated by wind :

⚫ The receptive stigmas are well exposed to pick up the pollen grains from air currents.

⚫ Pollens are very light , small, dusty, dry, smooth , non sticky and unwettable and might have air sacs and wings .

⚫A very large number of pollen grains are produced. Example: 500,000 per flower in Cannabis , 25 million by a tassel of maize and 135 million by a plant of Mercurialis .

⚫ Flowers are without nectar, small , inconspicuous, non showy , non fragrant and mostly unisexual.

⚫Male flowers or anthers are abundant.

⚫ The stamens have long filaments and extrorse versatile anthers.

⚫Stigmas are exserted , sticky, brush like or hairy or feathery or branched to increase receptive area for picking wind borne pollen grains

⚫ Wind pollinated flowers often have a single ovule in each ovary and many flowers packed into an inflorescence.

⚫ Anemophily is common in grasses, cereals and Palms

Hope This Helps You :)
