South African Constitution is described as the Supreme Law in the country. This Constitution was developed and finalizes as recently as 1996 and has been amended 17 times since then.  The Constitution is made up of 14 Chapters, some of which are :  Chapter 1: Founding Provisions, the part which defines the constitution, the country, flag, type of government etc.  Chapter 2: Bill Of Rights, lays out basic rights of all citizens in terms of health, voting rights, marriage, education etc.  Chapter 3:Co-operative Government, details the relationship between the three layers of government, namely, national, provincial and local government, their roles, power and reach.  Chapter 4: Parliament, addresses the nature and structure of the country's parliament, the principles on which parliament is made, dissolved, parliament's powers etc.  Chapter 5: The President and National Executive, looks at the job description, terms of power, authority etc of the president of the country and the national executive  and their relationship with the government, opposition parties and the parliament
