nth term of G.P (an)=4×3^n-1

i) First term (a or a1)=

4×3^1-1 /* n=1 */

= 4 × 3°

= 4 × 1

= 4

ii ) if n = 2 ,

second term (a2)= 4×3^2-1

= 4×3

= 12

iii) a3 = 4×3^3-1

= 4×3²

= 4×9

= 36

iv)a4 = 4×3^4-1

= 4×3³

= 4 × 27

= 108

v) a5 = 4×3^5-1

= 4×3⁴

= 4 × 81

= 361

Therefore,

Required first 5 terms in G.P

are

4,12, 36,108 and 361
