Given that,

a = - 5

d = 4

First term:

a₁ = - 5

Second term:

∴ a₂ = a + d

∴ a₂ = - 5 + 4

a₂ = - 1

Third term:

a₃ = a₂ + d

∴ a₃ = - 1 + 4

a₃ = 3

Forth term:

a₄ = a₃ + d

∴ a₄ = 3 + 4

a₄ = 7

∴ The first four terms of the A.P are - 5, - 1, 3 and 7.

Answer:

A.P = -5,-1,3,7

Step-by-step explanation:

A.P is in the form of a, a+d, a+2d,a+3d,............

Are you ask for first four terms

1st term

a=-5

2nd term

a+d=-5+4=-1

3rd term

a+2d=-5+4(2)=-5+8=3

4th term

a+3d=-5+4(3)=-5+12=7

So,the AP is in the form of

A.P = -5,-1,3,7
