This year I spent my Durga Puja in Kolkata at my grandfather home. This was the first time when I was witnessing the biggest festival of Bengalis in Kolkata. The trip was very short just for 2 days but enough to enjoy the celebrations.  I always enjoy Durga Puja at my Home town Delhi but can’t compare the Pujas of Kolkata and Delhi because both have their own charm. Durga puja in Kolkata is totally different from Delhi. In Kolkata Durga puja is celebrated in every nook and corner, sometimes even on the main road. Puja in Kolkata is a creative expression for the artists. The entire city looks like a huge exhibition of installations. Each better than the other. The huge and artistic pandals, magnificient idols of goddess Durga, people dancing on the beats of Dhaki (drum) and evenings surrounded with the divine tunes of Goddess Durga aarti are the unforgettable features of Kolkata
