Given :

  • In an AP, first term, a = 2
  • common difference, d = -5

To Find :

  • First three terms of AP

Solution :

In an AP,

n^{th} term, a_n = a + (n - 1)d

→ First term, a = 2

→ Second term,

a_2 = a + (n - 1)d

a_2 = 2 + (2 - 1)-5

a_2 = 2 - 5

a_2 = -3

→ Third term,

a_3 = a + (n - 1)d

a_3 = 2 + (3 - 1)-5

a_3 = -8

Therefore,

\boxed{AP = 2, -3, -8}
