Election Process To Lok Sabha :

1. Members of the Lok Sabha are directly elected by the people. The number of members in the house is fixed. The members of Lok Sabha are elected directly by people from the 'territorial constituncies'.

2. Elections to the Lok Sabha and held at regular intervals. All political parties contest this elections. The party which gets more than half of the seats is considered as the majority party. The majority party forms a government.

3. The tenure of Lok Sabha is 5 years. The elections take place after every 5 years. This elections are known as General elections.

4. As per the constitution there can be a maximum of 552 members in the Lok Sabha.

5. To ensure your representation to all sections of the society, some seats are reserved for members belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

6. In case there are no representatives from the Anglo Indian community, the President can apoint two members from this community to the Lok Sabha.
