Write the following activities in your practical filei) To record the human body temperature.

ii) To study the effect of an acid and a base on:

- Litmus paper (red and blue)

- Turmeric

- Phenolphthalein solution.

iii) To study the reaction between iron nails and copper sulphate solution.​

Answer:

ii) Litmus paper- the red litmus paper will be turned blue when a base hits it. and it would be turned into red when acid touches it . blue colour remains that means that the solution is basic and if the red litmus paper remains red this means that the liquid hit is acidic.

turmeric - is only reactive towards bases. but when a acid is added to it , it remains the same. while when a base is added to it , the colour changes itself to red .

phenolphtelein solution - it it turns colourless when acid is added , and it turns pink as the bases are added to it .

iii) To study the reaction between iron nails and copper sulphate solution we beakers and add copper sulphate solution in beacker . now add iron nails into it.

here procedure ends.

observations - you will observe that the colour of the solution is changed to greenish while the iron nails are deposited with the copper this shows that iron is more reactive than copper.
