Given :  surface area of a cube is six times the square its edge

To Find  : Write  in the form of an algebraic expression

1) SA= 6 X 2X edge

(2) SA = 12 X edge

(3) SA = 6 X (edge)²

(4) SA = 12 X (edge)2

Solution:

SA is surface area

edge length of cube - edge

square of edge = (edge)²

six times the square its edge  = 6 X (edge)²

Hence  surface area of a cube is six times the square its edge can be expressed as  :  6 X (edge)²

6 X (edge)² is the correct option
