Answer:

Given,

5 : 7

6 : 13

3 : 14

To Find :

Arrange the ratios in the Ascending order.

solution :

As we all know that we can write  all Ratios as in the form of Fraction also :-

5 : 7 = \sf\dfrac{5}{7}

6 : 13 = \sf\dfrac{6}{13}

3 : 14 = \sf\dfrac{3}{14}

so , Now first we need to equate the denominators of these fractions :-

Taking L.C.M of Denominators :- 7 , 13 , 14  = 182

Now,

\frac{5}{7} = \frac{5}{7}\times\frac{26}{26} = \frac{130}{182}

\frac{6}{13} = \frac{6}{13}\times\frac{14}{14} = \frac{72}{182}

\frac{3}{14}= \frac{3}{14}\times \frac{13}{13}  = \frac{39}{182}

now by observing the numerators we can arrange them in ascending order :-

ascending order means small to big : i.e

\sf\dfrac{39}{182}< \dfrac{72}{182}< \dfrac{130}{182}

i.e

\sf\dfrac{3}{14}< \dfrac{6}{13}< \dfrac{5}{7}
