The Peninsular plateau is a tableland. It is composed of the old crystalline, igneous and metamorphic rocks. The Peninsular plateau is considered the oldest land mass as it was formed due to the drifting of the Gondwana land. The plateau consists of broad and shallow valleys and rounded hills.

Peninsular plateau is the oldest land and it extends upto Gondwana land. It created with crystalline, igneous and metamorphic rocks. It is also called tableland. It is surrounded by round hills.

Peninsular plateaus are all rounded by black soils. These soils made up by volcanic origin. It took many times for formation because peninsular plateau is created by black soils mostly.
