let speed of a car was 20m/sec but after 5 second now it's velocity is 30m/sec .

So the acceleration of the car is =

$\frac{change \: in \: velocity}{the \: given \: time} = \: \frac{30 - 20}{5} = 2$
v= m/sec & time = sec


so unit of acceleration is m/sec×sec
= m/sec^2
