Expansion of lateral surface of cuboid :

lateral surface area of cuboid

= 2( breadth × height + height × length)

= 2 ( bh + hl )

= 2 ( b + l ) × h

important points :
--------------------------
(1) total surface area of cuboid

= 2 ( lb + bh + hl )

(2) Area of the ceiling of cuboid (room)

= length × breadth = l × b

(3) area of the floor of cuboid (room)

= length × breadth = l × b

Area of the floor and ceiling of cuboid (room ) together

= 2× length × breadth = 2lb

(4) perimeter of cuboid

= 4 ( length + 2 × breadth + height )

= 4 ( l + 2b + h )
