Water:

water has 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 Oxygen atom.

H2O is its formula, H is having 1 (H+) valancy and O is having 2 (O-2) valancy. both together forms, H2O

Hydrogen Chloride:

HCl is the formula, H+ (+1 valancy) and Cl- (having -1 valancy) both together form, HCl

Nitric Acid:

HNO3

here there are, 1 Hydrogen atom, 1 nitrogen and 3 Oxygen atoms.

H+ NO3-

+1 Hydrogen valancy and -1 NO3 valancy.

Calcium Oxide:

CaO

one calcium atom with one Oxygen atom.

Ca++ O--

Calcium is having +2 valancy and Oxygen is having -2 valancy.

Sodium Chloride:

NaCl

One atom of sodium combine with one atom of chlorine to form sodium chloride.

Na+ Cl-

Na is having +1 valancy and Cl is having -1 valancy.

Sodium Nitrate:

NaNO3

2 atoms of sodium, one Atom of nitrogen and 3 atoms of oxygen combine to form Sodium Nitrate.

Na+1 NO3-1

valancy of sodium is +1 and nitrate ion is -1.

Carbon Dioxide:

CO2

one Atom of Carbon (C) combine with 2 Atoms of Oxygen (O) to form CO2.

Carbon has valancy of 4 and Oxygen has valancy of 2, hence one Carbon atom requires 2 oxygen atoms to form CO2 (Octet structure).

Potassium Chloride:

KCl

one atom of potassium (K) with one Atom of Chlorine (Cl) combine to form potassium chloride (KCl)

K+ Cl-

K is having +1 valancy and Chloride is having -1 valancy.

Sodium Carbonate:

Na2CO3

It has 2 atoms of sodium (Na) one Carbon (C) and three Oxygen (O) atoms.

Na+ CO3-2

sodium has +1 valancy and Carbonate ion (CO3-2) has valancy of 2 (-2).

Carbon Monoxide:

CO

it has, one Carbon atom with one Oxygen Atom.

C+2 and O-2

carbon has +2 valancy and Oxygen has -2.

Magnesium Chloride:

MgCl2

it has one Atom of Magnesium (Mg) and 2 atoms of chlorine (Cl).

Mg has +2 valancy and Chloride ion is having -1.

Potassium Carbonate:

K2CO3

It has 2 potassium (K), one Carbon (C) and 3 Oxygen (O) atoms.

K+ and CO3-2

potassium has valancy of 1 and Carbonate ion has valancy of 2.

Magnesium Oxide:

MgO

one Atom of Magnesium (Mg) with one Atom of oxygen (O) combine to form magnesium oxide (MgO).

Mg+2 O-2

magnesium has +2 valancy and Oxygen too has valancy of 2 (-2).

Zinc Chloride:

ZnCl2

It has one Zinc atom and 2 Chloride ions.

Zn+2 Cl-1

Zinc has valancy of 2 and Chloride ion is having valancy of 1.

Calcium Carbonate:

CaCO3

It has one calcium (Ca) atom, One Carbon (C) and 3 Oxygen (O) atoms.

Ca+2 CO3-2

Calcium has +2 valancy and Carbonate ion has valancy of 2 (-2).

Note: Valancy of atom I have mentioned-ve means they have extra electron to share and +ve has extra proton. electron will be share to get the stable compound. stable compound has Octet structure.
