Concentrated acids have no reaction with carbon. Carbon reacts with concentrated sulphuric acid to form carbon dioxide, water and sulphur dioxide gases. The chemical reaction is as follows :-
C + 2H2SO4 => CO2 + 2SO2 + 2H20
