\frac{1}{v}+\frac{1}{u}=\frac{1}{f}

where :-

u = object distance

v = image distance

f = focal length

IN CONCAVE MIRROR :

u = - ve

v = + ve (virtual and erect) ; - ve (real and inverted)

f = - ve

IN CONVEX MIRROR :

u = - ve

v = - ve

f = + ve

LENS FORMULA :
