The formula to find Median for a grouped

data is given as :

M (Median) = L + ( N / 2 - C.f / f ) * h

where

L = Lower boundary of Median class

N = Total frequency ( or number of observations)

C.f = Cummulative frequency of class preceding the median Class

f = Frequency of Median Class

h = class size ( size of the Median )
